Rooting Instructions

- Modifying / replacing your phone's software may void the phone's warranty and may render phone to 'brick' status - meaning your phone will not be worth much more than a brick.

- Unlocking the bootloader on most phones will automatically wipe all data.
- Ensure phone is fully charged.
- Always backup your current Apps/Data/SMS Messages before performing any type of rooting procedure. Find these backup apps on Google Play.

Rooting Phone
- Download and extract Vortex Root Tool into a folder on computer desktop.
- Enable USB debugging: Menu --> Settings --> Applications --> Development
- Ensure phone is placed in 'Charge Only' mode.
- Connect the phone to the computer via USB.
- Open Vortex Root Tool folder (downloaded and extracted in earlier step).
- Double click on 'Install_Drivers' and follow on-screen instructions.
- Start Root Tool by double-clicking 'RUN.bat'.
- Choose Option 5 and follow on-screen instructions to root phone.
If after running the phone for a recommended two weeks, you would like to install a custom recovery in order to flash a custom ROM, start the Vortex Root Tool and choose option 6 and follow the on-screen instructions.
