Rooting Instructions
- Modifying / replacing your phone's software may void the phone's warranty and may render phone to 'brick' status - meaning your phone will not be worth much more than a brick.
- Rooting a phone is entirely at your own risk. No one affiliated with ROMWarez is responsible for your decision to root your phone.
- Unlocking the bootloader on most phones will automatically wipe all data.
- Always backup your current Apps/Data/SMS Messages before performing any type of rooting procedure. Find these backup apps on Google Play.

Rooting Phone
- Download and install Android ADB SDK.
- Download and Unlock Root into a folder on computer desktop.
- Enable USB debugging: Menu --> Settings --> Applications --> Development
- Enable Unknown Sources: Menu --> Settings --> Security --> Unknown Sources
- Once ADB SDK is downloaded, double click the .exe file to start application. Ensure the directory that ADB SDK is installing to is: c:\android-sdk\
- Click on SDK Manager and select the following to install. Leave others unchecked:
- Android SDK Tools
- Android SDK Platform Tools
- Google USB Driver Package, Revision XX (XX being the highest number available).
- Click continue and follow the on screen prompts until all of the packages are installed and process is completed.
- Power on phone and plug phone into computer via USB cable. ADB SDK will attempt to install drivers for phone.
- Open Windows File Explorer and look for the android-sdk folder inside of the C drive. Then open the platform-tools folder.
- Hold the Shift Key down on keyboard and right click in any blank area inside that folder. This will open context menu. Select Open Command Prompt Here. A command prompt will open. Note: If using Windows XP, click on Start > Run > then type: cmd and press enter. At command prompt, type: cd c:\android-sdk\platform-tools\ and press Enter.
- Type the following into command prompt: adb devices and then press Enter.
- A serial number for phone will be displayed. This means phone drivers have been installed correctly.
- Open the Phone Dialer application on device and dial the following number: *#*#2846579#*#*
- Service Mode on device will be opened.
- In Service Mode, tap Project Menu -->Background Settings --> Log Settings.
- Enable Log Switch and Log Level Settings to verbose.
- Go back to main menu of Service Mode.
- Go to Dump --> Log and checkmark all the boxes.
- Reboot your device.
- Connect device to PC using USB data cable.
- Double-click on UnlockRoot file extracted to Desktop in earlier step.
- Click on Unlock Root button in the tool.
- Rooting device should begin.
- Phone is Rooted!
